Terms of Service

By using SaloneNest LLC, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before registering or using any features of the platform.

1. About SaloneNest LLC

SaloneNest LLC is a West Africa-focused home and marketplace platform that allows users to buy, sell, and rent residential, commercial, and landed properties; trade goods and services through the Marketplace (Public Square); share Community Posts; and manage tenancy relationships including leases, rent payments, and maintenance requests.

The platform is structured around five bottom navigation tabs: Home (feed and dashboard), Real Estate (property listings), Post (create listings and community updates), Market (goods and services marketplace), and Profile (sign up, sign in, and account management).

Diaspora users residing outside West Africa may use the platform to search, enquire, and book West African properties and amenities remotely.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SaloneNest LLC. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to close accounts that violate this requirement. See our Child Safety Policy for details.

3. Accounts & Sign-In

• All account creation and sign-in is done through the Profile tab
• A single account gives you access to all features of the platform
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately at privacy@salonenest.com if you suspect unauthorized access
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms

4. Account Types

SaloneNest LLC provides the following account types and roles:

Account Type / Role	Description
Seller Hub	For landlords, property managers, and marketplace sellers. Allows listing properties, managing tenants, receiving payments, and posting goods and services.
User Account	For tenants, buyers, and marketplace customers. Allows browsing listings, paying rent, managing leases, submitting maintenance requests, and purchasing goods/services.
Trader (within Seller Hub)	Sellers who list goods and services on the Market tab. KYC identity verification earns a verified trader badge.
Visitor	Browse available property and marketplace listings without an account. Enquiry and booking features require sign-in.

Misrepresenting your role (e.g., registering as a Seller Hub user to access tenant data) is a violation of these Terms.

5. Platform Features & Acceptable Use

Real Estate Tab

• Property listings must represent real, legally available properties located in West Africa
• Listing prices, descriptions, and photos must be accurate and not misleading
• Diaspora users may browse and enquire on listings; in-person viewings are the user's responsibility
• SaloneNest LLC does not verify legal title or ownership of listed properties — users conduct their own due diligence

Market Tab (Marketplace / Public Square)

• Goods and services listed must be legal in the country in which they are offered
• Trader listings must accurately describe the item or service, price, and availability
• KYC identity verification is required to display a verified trader badge
• SaloneNest LLC is a platform intermediary; we are not the buyer or seller in marketplace transactions

Post Tab

• The Post tab (centre button) opens a sheet to create: a Community Post, a Property Listing, or a Marketplace Item
• Posting requires a signed-in account
• Community Posts must comply with all rules in Section 7 (Prohibited Activities)

EJay AI Assistant

• EJay is an AI assistant built into the Ask for Help section to guide users through the platform
• EJay's responses are informational only and do not constitute legal, financial, or property advice
• EJay does not have access to your private account data or transactions

6. Payments & Transfers

• Payment processing is handled by PayPal, bank transfer, mobile money providers, and Apple Pay
• SaloneNest LLC is not a bank and does not hold funds on behalf of users
• Transfer limits may apply based on your verification level
• All financial activity is subject to applicable AML (anti-money laundering) regulations
• Chargebacks and disputes are handled per the policies of the relevant payment processor
• Rent and marketplace payment records are stored securely for audit and compliance purposes

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use SaloneNest LLC to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent property or marketplace listings
• Represent properties you do not own or have authority to list
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users through messages or community posts
• Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt, hack, or scrape the platform
• Circumvent security features, access controls, or KYC verification
• Conduct money laundering, fraud, or other illegal financial activity
• Collect personal information about other users without their consent
• Use the platform for any activity that violates the laws of any West African country or the United States

7B. West Africa Legal Compliance

Every listing, post, or transaction on SaloneNest LLC must comply with the laws and regulations of the West African country in which the property, goods, or services are located or offered, and the laws of the user's country of residence. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their activity on the platform is lawful in all relevant jurisdictions.

8. Intellectual Property

• SaloneNest LLC's design, code, branding, the EJay AI assistant, and platform features are owned by Eric J. Musa / SaloneNest LLC
• You retain ownership of content you post (photos, descriptions, community updates, etc.)
• By posting content, you grant SaloneNest LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it within the platform

9. Subscription Plans

• SaloneNest offers tiered subscription plans: Seller Hub (for landlords and marketplace sellers) and User Account (for tenants and buyers)
• Subscription fees, features, and billing cycles are displayed in the Profile tab under Subscription
• We may change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice
• Refund eligibility is determined per the plan terms displayed at the time of purchase

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

SaloneNest LLC is provided "as-is" and "as-available". We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted, that property listings are accurate or legally clear, or that transactions between users will complete successfully. Property decisions require independent verification and professional advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SaloneNest LLC's liability for any claim arising out of your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for disputes between landlords and tenants, fraudulent listings posted by users, losses arising from payment processor errors, or property transactions that fail to complete.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America. Where applicable law in a West African country confers additional rights on users resident there, those rights are not waived by these Terms. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of SaloneNest LLC will be resolved in the courts of the United States, unless mandatory local law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new platform features, changes in law, or operational changes. We will update the effective date above and, where material, notify you by in-app notification. Continued use of SaloneNest LLC after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
