landlords, tenants, traders, and visitors — across all 83 countries we serve worldwide.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and
the choices you have. By using SaloneNest LLC, you agree to the practices described here.
SaloneNest LLC handles property records, lease agreements, payment data, and identity
information. We apply strong access controls and encryption to protect everything you
share with us.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by use of the platform:
- Account information — full name, username, email address, phone number, country, role (landlord, tenant, trader, visitor)
- Authentication data — hashed password and PIN (never stored in plaintext), security question answers, session tokens
- Property and listing data — property addresses, descriptions, photos, rent amounts, availability, amenity details
- Lease and tenancy records — lease start/end dates, rent payment history, security deposits, maintenance requests
- Financial data — rent payment records, invoice history, transaction references (no raw card numbers stored)
- Identity verification documents — government-issued ID, facial verification selfie, utility bills (for KYC compliance, encrypted before storage)
- Marketplace data — trader adverts, product listings, chat messages with other users
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, session activity, timestamps for fraud detection and security purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your SaloneNest LLC account and assigned role
- To facilitate property listings, tenancy agreements, and rent payments between landlords and tenants
- To operate the Public Square marketplace for traders and buyers
- To process and record financial transactions including rent, deposits, and marketplace payments
- To conduct identity verification (KYC) where required for financial transactions
- To send service notifications including rent reminders, maintenance updates, and platform alerts
- To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and platform abuse
- To comply with applicable laws in the countries where our users are located
- To improve and maintain the platform through anonymised and aggregated analytics
3. How We Store and Protect Your Data
- Passwords and PINs — hashed using cryptographic functions; never stored or transmitted in plaintext
- Identity documents — encrypted with AES-256-GCM before cloud storage; encryption keys are never stored alongside documents
- Session tokens — HMAC-signed, expire automatically, stored in your device's local storage
- Data hosting — hosted on Vercel infrastructure with TLS encryption in transit and at rest
- Access controls — role-based access; only authorised operators and compliance-designated personnel can access sensitive records
- Audit logs — all significant actions are logged in an immutable audit trail
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Platform participants — listing information shared with potential tenants/buyers; lease data shared between landlord and their assigned tenants only
- Payment processors — minimal data required to complete rent or marketplace transactions
- Regulatory authorities — when required by law or court order in applicable jurisdictions
- Infrastructure providers — Vercel (hosting, storage) under data processing agreements
- Fraud and compliance screening services — limited data for identity and sanctions screening
5. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 5 years after closure
- Lease and financial records are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by applicable recordkeeping regulations
- Identity documents are retained for the period required by KYC/AML obligations of the relevant jurisdiction
- Marketplace listings and chat messages are retained while your account is active; deleted on account closure unless subject to a dispute

- Access the personal data we hold about you

- Request deletion of your account and non-regulatory personal data

7. Cookies and Local Storage
SaloneNest LLC uses browser local storage to maintain your session state and
preferences across visits. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
Clearing your browser's local storage will sign you out of the platform.
8. Children's Privacy
SaloneNest LLC is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from anyone under 18. If we discover a minor has created an account, that
account will be closed and data deleted promptly.
9. Cross-Border Data Processing
Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the
United States where our hosting infrastructure operates. We apply appropriate safeguards
for any international data transfers consistent with applicable privacy laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated
by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notification.
Continued use of SaloneNest LLC after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
